Hi
Bye Bye

She let out a little whimper when she got her shots, no crying at all when she got her toe prick to check for anemia (all clear). She's a real trooper at the doctor, I think she really had fun. She was tickled by the nurse, daddy, and doctors the whole time.

Another crazy d-listed video

Christmas isn't over until you've heard this.

PS, I played this a few times and Emily loved it, she was dancing in the pack and play. Hilarious.

Emily's Check up

We're off the the check up this afternoon. We guess she weighs about 18 lbs and is 25 inches. We shall see.

This picture looks bad, but Emily and Jasmine were just playing. Rabid dogs.

Emily's First Christmas

Christmas Eve the family came over, minus the Rowinskis. They were stuck in Salem OR due the their power being out and the feet of snow that fell. Mimi and Papa showed up early to help and they gave Emily one of her gifts to play with. She likes her hot rod pink car alot.

Dec 24th, we got about 6 more inches that night.

Herself the Elf, Jasmine.

Emily with Santa. She never cried. She opened the family gifts then it was time for bed.

Stop the Insanity

With all the snow, work being really busy, getting ready to have 14 people for Christmas Eve and chasing after a 10 month old, this is the best post I am coming up with for this week.

Emily looking out the back door. This was the night we got 10 inches.

Dog Tracks. The snow was blowing in drifts up the front door. Dave of course took the dogs on a walk.

Dave and Emily sledding.

Emily was too cold, we had to go back inside.

2ft long icicle outside our bay window.

I hate snow and weathermen. Today was supposed to be clear and its been snowing lightly all morning. I told Dave I was going to keep this blog PG, so I wont tell you how I really feel.

Sledding in the Front Yard

These were the two good pics I got before she fell out of the sled. She did a face plant into the snow, she was really mad. All that bundling for 2 minutes of fun.

I hope we get more snow tomorrow night.

Weekend Fun

We finally got our snow Saturday night, but Saturday we wanted to go out and see what was going on so we had to bundle Emily.

Emily and Dave trying to stay warm.

Sunday was the annual White Elephant Gift Exchange. Tiffany's presents never seem to disappoint. Leslie ended up with this lovely cardboard friend. Click on the photos to enlarge.

Here is the group photo, all of us displaying our loot.

Here is us laughing at the cardboard girl. Otis was afraid and had to bark at it.

Cute video

Here is a really cute video I found on dlisted. It's very cute. I didn't know hedgehogs liked the water, but I don't know much about hedgehogs in general.

Snow Alert

Emily is ready. She's got her boots, snow bibs, and sled.

Here is the latest from NOAA

If it doesn't snow, I will be going on a rampage. Jeff Renner better watch his back or his front as it may be.

Playing Around

Emily and Me playing in the house.

Murphy fell asleep with his tongue hanging out. This always makes me laugh.

Trying to get a good Christmas card photo. The dogs look rabid.

This is a possible photo.

And the Least Photogenic Family Award Goes to..

Tonight we went to the McKinstry Christmas Party. It was great family fun. The next few years will be awesome. They had face painting, a bounce house, crafts, cookie making, acrobats, a magician, a wine tasting room, good food, a balloon artist, and many more fun kid and grown up things to do. Emily loved it. She ate some mashed potatoes. She is not to sure of strangers, hence the photos.

The lovely family shot.

Us in the photo booth, I was clearly ignoring the "where to look sign".

Christmas Trees and More

The day after the HCWL Christmas party we headed out to Trinity tree farms by our house to cut down a tree. Mother Nature had other ideas. It was pouring rain so we just left. Plus their trees were way over priced for a u-cut tree with half the branches missing on one side.

Since Emily is being so active we decided to give her her Christmas present early. It is perfect. She loves it.

She even lets Jasmine play in there with her.

Christmas tree, part deux. We went to our favorite market and low and behold they had perfect Nobles for half the price. Emily was getting tired, but we made her stay up to put the star on top.

Here is a cute picture. She's only going to have those two teeth for a while so get used to it.

I Didn't Expect This So Soon

She's really being naughty today. She needs her Christmas present early to crawl in and on. My poor furniture isn't going to be able to take much more of this.
She's not touching the ground here.

She's reaching up to everything now. We need higher shelves.

Just crawling up on the glass.

Clearly pleased with herself.
