Pool Party

It was another hot day in the Seattle area on Thursday, so we went to the best place to stay cool, Mimi and Papa's house. Emily loves the water, she counts to three and jumps in off the side of the pool now. She can dunk and hold her breath. She is learning to kick and paddle, too.

Papa came home from work and stuck a bucket on his head.

Our original plans didn't work out so we made an impromptu visit to Coulon Beach. We ate at Ivars, then headed for the beach. Emily dove right into the water.

Took Emily out for her half-birthday dinner at her favorite "Peepa" (Pizza) place. She even got a scoop of ice cream.

She's one and a half today! We're going out for lunch with the 4 generations of ladies. Should be fun!

On a side note, Emily and I are starting SKOT, Starfire Kids of Tomorrow, in a few weeks. We'll be playing soccer with some other little kids and parents midweek. I will have to take a video and post as soon as I can. It sounds hilarious.

Jamine and Her Tick

I took Jasmine to the vet this AM to get a tick removed. The vet told me since she was on a flea and tick treatment it probably would have fallen out in a couple of days. I wish she would have just told me that in the first place and saved me the $50. At any rate, the tick is now gone and Jasmine got an exam even though she didn't need one. Emily called a little tiny dog a "Cat" in the waiting room and I think the owner was a little offended, but we all laughed anyway.

Tutu and Papa, Leslie's grandparents generously opened their lake home to Emily and Me for a couple days to get away from the Seattle rain, or so we thought. We spent most of the time at the house due to the weather, but had a great time none the less. It was a fantastic visit. Emily was a great traveller and enjoyed putting on a show for everyone.
