After Christmas

Emily didn't know which toys to play with first, so she played with all of them at the same time.

Christmas

Here are some gems from Christmas. I am really happy I got a new camera.

Once again we win the prize for least photogenic family.

Downtown Seattle Carousel

Sunday we rode the light rail downtown to ride the carousel. It was really fun.

Downtown Renton Tree Lighting and Santa

We went to the tree lighting downtown. It was really fun. We ran into some friends from our Mom's group.

Tree Lighting at the Landing

We went to the Landing for a tree lighting. We rode the train and saw the reindeer, but it was freezing so we didn't stick around for the tree.

Christmas Fun

We had a very good Christmas. It was a good time had by all.

These hooligans showed up. I love you guys. So happy to have you back in the mix. We missed you guys last year.

White Elephant

Another banner year for the white elephant party. I got a Bump It, so exciting.

Dave's Christmas Party

Another terrible family photo for the books. Emily was petrified of Santa.

Molbak's Photoshoot

In theory, dressing up Emily and taking her to Molbak's to get some Holiday pictures was a good idea. She really loved to ride around in the stroller and look at everything, the water fountains and trees. We had quite a few apple samples. Things were going well until the shoot took her out of the stroller and unleashed her upon the store and all of its wares. It was a total disaster.

So innocent, smelling the flowers.

Emily standing on the concrete bench. I thought she wouldn't fall off, I was wrong: head meet concrete. After a good cry and another apple sample, we were back in business.

Rearranging the stuffed animal display.

Hugging the horse. This one is my favorite.

Knocking over the reindeer.

More refusing to look at the camera and rearranging of the animals.

Emily's First Christmas

Christmas Eve the family came over, minus the Rowinskis. They were stuck in Salem OR due the their power being out and the feet of snow that fell. Mimi and Papa showed up early to help and they gave Emily one of her gifts to play with. She likes her hot rod pink car alot.

Dec 24th, we got about 6 more inches that night.

Herself the Elf, Jasmine.

Emily with Santa. She never cried. She opened the family gifts then it was time for bed.

Stop the Insanity

With all the snow, work being really busy, getting ready to have 14 people for Christmas Eve and chasing after a 10 month old, this is the best post I am coming up with for this week.

Emily looking out the back door. This was the night we got 10 inches.

Dog Tracks. The snow was blowing in drifts up the front door. Dave of course took the dogs on a walk.

Dave and Emily sledding.

Emily was too cold, we had to go back inside.

2ft long icicle outside our bay window.

I hate snow and weathermen. Today was supposed to be clear and its been snowing lightly all morning. I told Dave I was going to keep this blog PG, so I wont tell you how I really feel.

Weekend Fun

We finally got our snow Saturday night, but Saturday we wanted to go out and see what was going on so we had to bundle Emily.

Emily and Dave trying to stay warm.

Sunday was the annual White Elephant Gift Exchange. Tiffany's presents never seem to disappoint. Leslie ended up with this lovely cardboard friend. Click on the photos to enlarge.

Here is the group photo, all of us displaying our loot.

Here is us laughing at the cardboard girl. Otis was afraid and had to bark at it.

Playing Around

Emily and Me playing in the house.

Murphy fell asleep with his tongue hanging out. This always makes me laugh.

Trying to get a good Christmas card photo. The dogs look rabid.

This is a possible photo.
