Happy Thanksgiving

I wanted to get a picture of the table before everything gets used. I spent all day washing the dishes and setting the table just right. I set Emily a place, but she will not be getting near this, too many breakable things.

I doubt I will be online tomorrow or for the rest of the weekend. Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving.

As a side note, Emily is turning 9 months tomorrow. She's 3/4 of the way to being 1 years old. I am very excited about this. She's a great little girl. I am looking forward to seeing her enjoy her first holiday season. It should be amazing.

Apple Cup Blues

Sunday Funnies

Yesterday as we were getting ready to go run some errands, Dave let the dogs out the front door like he normally does and then they hop in the back of the car for a ride. This time was different because our renter neighbors were out playing with their dog. Both dogs seized this opportunity to embarrass us. Jasmine ran into their house and proceeded to eat all their cat food. Murphy ran into their garage and just stood there begging for the toy. They are so embarrassing, but we still love them.

We went on a walk today to one of Renton's lovely parks. Here are some pictures:

Random Bits

Emily ate her first meat today. She had organic chicken mixed with sweet potatoes. She really liked it.

If you have a baby and are a Rhapsody subscriber, there is the BEST children's music station called Muppets Radio. Emily pulls up and dances to it. It has a lot of great songs.

Speaking of Muppets, Thursday on the Today show, the Muppets took over the show. Emily could usually care less about the TV. She loved it. She was trying to get to the TV, pulled up on the entertainment center. It was really cute. She has some stuffed Muppets, maybe she recognized them. Long story short, she loves Muppets.

Mimi and Papa's House

We went for a visit today. We tried on a cute Christmas dress Mimi bought Emily. We were getting into everything so we had to use the car as a barricade.

Klutz

I am seriously losing my equilibrium or balance or something. I fell down yesterday at Emily's play date at Mandy's house, while carrying Emily. Thankfully I landed on my behind and there is just a huge bruise on one cheek and she wasn't hurt. On Saturday, I must have had vertigo or again just lost my balance because I fell down when we stood up to leave the Husky game. The resulting injuries were just bruises again, but c'mon. I am too old for this. I hurt.

No Longer A Mother of the Year Candidate

Emily's got a black eye. She fell down on one of her toys. She cried for maybe 10 seconds. I tried to put ice on it, she has this thing called a Boo Boo Bunny that we used. She just wanted to put it in her mouth, so it wasn't very successful.

Husky Pup

Emily went to her first Husky game yesterday. The game didn't start until 4pm so we weren't planning on staying for the whole game, which worked out for the best because the Huskies started to lose badly after we left.


Here she is before the game, she only took an hour nap all day so we were nervous she was going to fuss the whole time. She had a great time, wasn't fussy at all.




Here she is at Dave's fraternity. We were going to take some pics with her in front of my sorority, but there were some people out in front and we were embarrassed.

Playdate

Emily went to her first play date with Renton Moms Group today. We stayed for a whopping 45 minutes. It was nap time so we had to bail out early. Everyone was commenting on how fast she moves around. There were some kids that were nice to her, most were crying over snacks and fighting over who got to sit in the car seat. It was fun and very entertaining, I would definitely do it again.

Right before we left to go to Danielle's house Emily ate some green construction paper. Don't ask me why there was green construction paper on the ground, I couldn't tell you. I never did find the chunk she bit off so I am assuming she ate it. I am nervous about it, I was going to call poison control, but I am thinking its going to be OK because its made for kids to play with. It just might turn her poop green. I will keep you posted.

Funny Food

Last night Emily ran her fingers through her hair during dinner. This is what happened.



This just happened at lunch today. I think she figured out how to use her tongue. She loves apples.
